Education Sessions

 2013 Referee Education Sessions

All sessions will be held at Cathedral High School, 30 Wentworth Street North, Hamilton, link: http://goo.gl/maps/5PNaC.  Please enter the school by the doors off the north parking lot at the corner of Wilson Street East and Wentworth Street North. Although it is anticipated that most education sessions will be held in Room 310 upstairs, signs will be posted each evening directing attendees to the room in which that evening’s education session will be held. Please note that night school classes will be in progress on many of these dates. All classes will commence at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude no later than 9:30.m. For additional information about Referee education (or to register for a Referee Upgrading Course) please contact District Referee Co-ordinator Joe Licandro hdsadrcjoelicandro@gmail.com before February 24th or after March 28th.  Between February 25th and March 27th please contact Paul Cannon (refpdvc@gmail.com).

 2013 FITNESS TESTS

The 2013 referee fitness test is scheduled to be held on Sunday May 5, 2013 at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School (127 Grays Road, Stoney Creek) beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding no later than 12 p.m.

Any referees who is required to complete the 2013 fitness test (a Regional Referee and a referee in the Regional Upgrading program) and any referee who is not required to complete the fitness test but who is interested in participating must advise DRC Joe Licandro (hdsadrcjoelicandro@gmail.com) of his / her participation by no later than April 30, 2013. It is strongly recommended that any referee who is interested in entering the Regional Referee upgrading program next year participate in this year’s referee fitness testing.

Fitness testing participants should arrive at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School no later than 8:30 a.m. to complete their registration and to warm up.

2013 REFEREE UPGRADING COURSES

Attendance is required on each evening of the particular course for which a referee registers. At the present time only Course 1 and 2 is definitely scheduled. Each additional course will be offered if a sufficient number of referees register for same. In the interests of enhancing the prospects of Referees from the Hamilton and District area advance to Regional, Provincial, National and FIFA refereeing levels, registration preference will be given to those Referees whose circumstances are such that he or she would be viewed as a potential candidate for such advancement.  Please contact Paul cannon to register for March course refpdvc@gmail.com
