Welland Curling Club Business Ladies
The Welland Curling Club Business Ladies Executive have been busy planning
a winter season full of fun curling. We are
a fun league who want to welcome new members and show them our passion for
the sport of curling!
Regular draw curling starts October 11th. If you have missed joining, don't
worry! The second draw will begin in
January so please contact us for more information!!
The Business Ladies Section will also be holding our annual Big Chill
Bonspiel on January 21, 2012. This is a 2-game
fun ladies bonspiel and we always have exciting entertainment. Please keep
the date open and start searching for your
team!
As a reminder, your executive is President: Lacy Trussell, Vice-President:
Ina Bynkoski, Treasurer: Keri McQuiggan,
and Games Captain: Sheila Spalton. Please feel free to talk to us about any
concerns or ideas you may have. We are
open to new ideas and welcome any input you may have!
We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends as
we kick off a great season of curling.

From the Day Ladies
The Day Ladies section is off to a great start this year. We have 54 members. This includes 4 new (to the club) members and 9 second year renewals. It is great to see the enthusiasm and camaraderie every week, between the new members and the veterans. It is hard to believe that our first draw is over and we are starting the second. On Thursday, Dec. 8, we are having a fundraiser to help purchase a new dishwasher and on Dec. 20 we will be celebrating the Christmas season with our annual Christmas game and lunch.
We were saddened to lose one of our members in September. Debbie Orosz was a wonderful, curler, teacher, friend and mentor. She will be missed greatly and our thought and prayers are with her family.
2012 will bring many exciting events to our club. We look forward to seeing some excellent curling and helping to make our club the best it can be.
